TAPEINFO — Contents of vox-tapes, segmentation and noise level
Lists the contents of raw-data tapes or of "compressed" high-density
tapes and optionally tests time series for clipped amplitudes. The
gereated lists include the following information: (1) the tape-name
and volume-serial-number, (2) the contents of the identification
record, (3) timecode, (4) artifact codes, (5) manually derived
segmentation tables, if any, and, (6) automatically generated
segmentation tables.

09 DEMO Examples that illustrate program function
- TANA: Name of the input tape ("NO" means that
DSN-name will not be checked)
- NREC = 0: All files
= n: The first "n" files are to be processed
- NBIT = n: Number of bits used in A/D-conversion (default=16)
- IBM = 0: Input data are stored in X86/X64-mode (little endian)
= 1: Input data are stored in IBM/SPARC-mode (big endian)
- PROT = 0: Table of contents
= 1: List of time codes and artifacts
= 2: same as (1) plus segmentation table
= 3: Analysis of clipped amplitudes
- PLOT < 0: Segmentation tables ar written to unit LPRT
= 0: No plots
= 1: Distribution of pause duration
= 2: Distribution of utterance duration
= 3: Distribution of energy per second
= 4: Distribution of energy per syllable
= 5: Distribution of mean vocal pitch
= 6: Distribution of F0 amplitude
= 7: Distribution of F0-6db-bandwidth
= 8: Distribution of F0 contour
- LG30 = u: Logical unit number of input file (valid: 30-45)
- LPRT = p: Logical unit number of plot device (valid: 6, 46-96)

Fig. 18: Comparison of mean vocal pitch amplitude in healthy
male speakers (upper half) versus healthy female speakers (lower
half) computed for the experimental condition of "reading out
loud emotionally neutral text". The pronounced deviations
between the 2 distributions indicate that the male - female
differences in mean vocal pitch encompass not just the 1-octave
shift in frequency (Fig. 19) but other characteristics as well.
